Day 82: Going on Daddy-Daughter Dates

by Mar 22, 2021Life, Weekends0 comments

My youngest daughter and I have a date each Saturday. Either we go get a nutrition shake at the shake shop in north Fargo where we had her graduation open house two years ago. Or we go to Panera. This weekend we went to the shake shop.

As a Hero On A Mission my children have a prominent place in my life plan. In my vision statements I’ve stated goals for building relationships with each of them. The way that plays out with my third means we go out on a Daddy-Daughter date.

Spartan Nutrition is the shake shop named after her high school mascot. She is such a great customer there; they have a shake named in her honor. It’s what she orders each time we visit, including this past Saturday.

I look forward to growing relationships with each of my adult children in the years ahead. Now that they are adults, it won’t be easy. They may or may not want to build a deeper relationship with me. I’m going to do what I can to let them know they’re extremely important to me and I want to do what I can to let them know I want to deepen our relationships.
