Yesterday I said I would be meeting with a new contact.
And I did. It was really fun.
He’s also a coach here in North Dakota, working with non-profits.
We were able to trade stories.
We shared lessons learned.
I think we will be able to help each other succeed and maybe even collaborate on some projects.
It’s always great to have a meeting like that.
A Direct Result of Goals
That meeting was directly connected to one of my 90-day goals in my Hero On A Mission (HOAM) Life Plan.
It also got me out of the house to an excellent coffee shop in West Fargo called Thunder Coffee.
As I’m visiting with my new connection, all of a sudden I see someone walking right at me out of the corner of my eye.
It’s my oldest daughter!
She and a group of three of her friends also wanted to enjoy some great coffee in an outstanding atmosphere.
She gave me a great big hug.
I’m able to brag on her to my surprised coffee companion.
I also happened to have a copy of the Business Made Simple book in the back seat of my car.
It had the name of my daughter’s boss on it.
I also had newly printed business cards with me.
My daughter has been bugging me for months to get her a stack of my business cards so she can hand them out to people who ask her what I’m up to.
- It was so much fun to meet her friends
- Give her those cards
- And to pass along the book for her boss
All because this HOAM got out of the house, despite COVID, to reach one of his goals.
