Day 36: Discouragement

by Feb 5, 2021HOAM Insights, Psychology, What Is A HOAM?0 comments

I was discouraged as I sat down to write this post.

  • Today I was extremely busy.
  • Dealing with health issues cut into my time.
  • I chose not to read my Hero On A Mission (HOAM) Life Plan or fill out a Daily Planning Sheet.
  • After all the ground I’d gained earlier in the week, I was feeling like a loser.

But then it dawned on me: What I was busy doing today was all mission critical for this HOAM!

Everything I did today hit the bullseye when it came to my goals.

I advanced, rather than going backward.

I didn’t waste any time.

I simply didn’t get around to reading my Life Plan or using my Daily Planner or most of my secondary tasks.

But what was most important today did get done.

Since I’ve been living as a HOAM these past 2+ months, my busy calendar has been pre-populated by tasks and meetings that matter most to me.

That means, as I get up from writing this post my mood has changed.

Instead of discouraged; I’m encouraged.

Instead of feeling like a loser; I feel like a hero on an important mission.

Instead of thinking I was behind; I realize I’m ahead!
