One of the things I haven’t liked about being a Hero On A Mission (HOAM) has been my morning routine on Monday.
I rarely look at my HOAM Life Plan or fill out a Daily Planner sheet on Sunday. Saturday has been 50-50.
Most Monday’s I feel like I’m coming in cold.
It takes my mind some time to jog where I was at mentally on Friday afternoon. It also takes me much longer to fill out my Secondary Tasks in my daily planner because I’m making sure I’m brining over unfinished tasks and projects from last week.
I find I want to be thorough on Monday morning because it sets me up for a great week.
I like that result. I don’t like the time it takes.
Because of that, I feel like I’ve gotten off to slow starts on Mondays. I want a fast start on Monday.
I’ve decided to start an experiment starting last night.
Sunday evening I took the time to read through my Life Plan and fill out the Primary Tasks and Secondary Tasks sections of my Daily Planner for this morning.
My hope is twofold:
- I want to reallocate this part of my morning routine to Sunday evening in order to get a faster start Monday a.m.’s
- I want to kick-start my mind, so I don’t have to catch up from Friday every Monday a.m.
I’m hopeful this will help me improve my productivity.
I’ll let you know if my experiment works in a month!
