Fear is a great enemy of forward progress.
There are certain tasks I haven’t completed yet. And the reason they aren’t completed is fear.
I realized that today as I went through my Hero On A Mission (HOAM) morning routine.
- Fear of failure
- Fear of looking bad
- Fear of judgment from others
- Fear of rejection
- Fear of putting myself out there and seeing if anyone is interested in what I’m offering the world
The HOAM morning routine is like looking in the mirror each morning.
–Some days I like the person looking back at me.
–Some days I don’t. Like today.
Fear Made Me Do It
Today, I recognized the person looking back at me was hiding and delaying and procrastinating.
The good news is that I see it more clearly than ever before.
Now I can change things. Now I can take courage and stick my neck out there.
Does this mean I won’t fail? Of course not!
But at least I’ll give myself a chance to succeed.
One of the most frequent commands found in the Bible is, “Do not be afraid.”
Today, it’s a command I need to obey.
I’ll do that by trusting God and risking failure.
